To
be honest, after today’s class, I think I may have been the odd one out. I
believe pretty fully in God. By this I mean that I have very little doubt in
his existence. It might help to add that I am very religious. The reason I
think I may have been the odd one out is that I didn’t feel like the question
Shapiro asked could be applicable to me because I already believe in God to
such a great extent. On the other hand, if Shapiro were to ask, “If I could
convince you that God does not exist beyond any reasonable doubt, would you let
me?” I would say that I would, but in doing so I would be quite scared and
rattled. I would have to rethink my whole life as religion plays such a large
part of my life. Furthermore, I would be quite scared as I’d doubt myself and
my beliefs on many other subjects.
