I found the discussion very interesting today as it got me thinking about how ungrateful we really are as humans.Most of us do not stop and think of how lucky we are to be human in the first place. As a member of mankind , we constantly go against logic and reason just to prove to ourselves that we are capable of free will. What I got from the discussion was basically that we want to believe that we are not merely pawns in the grand scheme of the universe so we consequently commit vulgar acts and atrocities out of spite.Obviously this seems foolish yet it also brings about innovation in society. If it wasn't for certain people that fought the status quo and ignored logic and reason , we would not be living in a society as advanced as today.
