Natalie's Reaction

"Ignorance is bliss" is a commonly heard phrase. The idea that not knowing something is better then knowing something seems very true to me. I think that this is why he talks about envying the regular man, or the man of action, the man that is not cursed with his acutely conscious mind. I think that the issue of over-thinking things is many times a disadvantage. I am pretty sure it has happened to almost everyone where you over think a situation and you get very frustrated. I think the more you think about something it starts to lose meaning. I think this is why the speaker says he is not a man of action, because he keeps over thinking everything that in the end he never acts because he has seen both sides of it and at that point why bother. This is why I also think that the idea of the wall is comforting to many. It is an interesting concept and one that I did not fully understand until todays discussion but in many ways knowing that there is a wall is a comforting notion and I believe that is why the speaker says it is openly embraced. I think that everyone has walls, they might differ from person to person, but they're there for everyone.
