Alexa Ferrer Thursday post

It's funny how I went to a school where they taught creationism in religion class yet we watched every Bill Nye the Science guy video in science class. I find it interesting  how willing my catholic school was to accept everything Bill Nye had to say except when it came to origins. I was never taught evolution in middle school I learned the definition outside of school but never gave it much thought because as far as I was concerned, the world was created by God exactly how the Australian man (forgot his name ) said it was in the book of genesis.
I'm very familiar with the book of genesis but I've been taught not to take the bible literal. I was always taught that these stories were general stories written down to preserve the faith but weren't word for word accounts of exactly what happened because no one knows for sure and no one will ever know for sure and I think if both debators would just accept that a concrete answer will never be given we could all just move on.
The Australian guy claims that the book of genesis is the only rational evidence for how the earth was created but no it's actually not I find it extremely difficult to believe everything was created so quickly and effortlessly. I also find it equally as difficult to believe that everything we know of started from tiny germs or a Big Bang. I honestly don't find either sides completely convincing but I'm fine with it because I honestly don't care how we came to be the point is we're all here everyone is here and everything is here and I don't think anyone will ever know the truth.
