Juan's monday post

In today's class we discussed the idea of the wall. To me the concept was already quite clear. The wall is what keeps us humans and our fragile minds sane. The thing that I did learn today was how the wall can take the shape of many different things. For example, with Raoul, the wall is based on logic, science, and math. His world revolves around that so it is natural for his wall to be based off of that as well. When we tried to explain to him how everything surrounding us is just concepts that we have created in an attempt to understand our surrounding he simply would not abandon his wall that everything is made up of science. It was interesting to see how his wall prevented him from understanding what we meant, and furthermore how the wall can not only help us, but also be a hindrance.
