To be fair,
I thought Mr. Ham was fighting a losing battle.
The majority of people in the modern world believe and understand the
fact that the universe is much more than a few thousand years old. His argument is based off of a book written
thousands of years ago when people at the time had a very basic understanding
of the world around them. In order to
try and explain the unknown they came up with great stories that contained
important messages for ways to act. I
felt that Mr. Ham’s entire argument was him trying to show that not every
scientist was atheist, but he didn’t bring in any supporting facts. Denying the science that proves the world is
billions of years old is like saying George Washington didn’t exist because we
weren’t alive to witness it. It doesn’t
make any sense. I am interested to see
how a religiously zealous crowd reacts to Mr. Nye’s argument tomorrow.
