Kaylee Friday Post

The debate on Friday presented Bill Nye's side of the argument. I can honestly say that Bill is a boss. In a room full of people who favored Ham's side, he composed himself and presented the information in the most respectable way possible. The best point I though Nye made was the sole fact that it is impossible that the earth is only 6,000 years old. It is crazy to think that if Ken Ham's theory of creation was viable that there would 11 new species everyday. This is obviously not physically possible. Bill Nye also mentioned that it was not possible for Noah Ark's to exist in that period of time with the kind of cargo it allegedly carried. As I said my previous post, I literally don't understand how anyone could believe these stories from the bible such as Noah's Ark.
Since about middle school, I have questioned the religion I was rised believing. Within the past few years, I have lost more and more of my beliefs. I began living with the "cafeteria plan" of religion. However now I feel I can no longer refer to myself as a Christian. At the this  point in my life it is clear that logic and reason is the path to take. As the new generation of the western world turns there back to religion and the old generation dies out, religion will fade into the background.
