I really liked discussing the concept of the wall in class as it provided me a new perspective of the "walls" I see many people put up for their comfort. It also made me realize that everyone embraces the wall as a source of comfort , although the wall is not the same for all people. The wall for many people today is science rather than religion as for many science and reason has become their god. Although many of these people are not scientists and merely depend on the studies of others , they readily embrace these theories as answers for the complex , deeply troubled society that they live in. The idea that science can provide the answer to everything , even existential questions , is preposterous ; However , many scientists would scoff at this claim as they have embraced their wall to the point where nothing else could possibly provide absolute truth.
