Natalie- Wednesday
I enjoyed our discussion today in class but I have to admit it is something that has made me very anxious in the past. The ideas of limitations, or a "wall", are very comforting and I think that is why people embrace them. It's better to have some limit that is attainable, then a never ending "space" that is by it's very nature unattainable. I also think the concept of never ending space makes me very anxious because it makes me feel very small. In comparison to the vast-ness of the universe we are so tiny and that is a strange feeling since to ourselves, we are so very important. On the other hand whenever I have failed a test, or majorly messed up it is nice to remind myself how small and insignificant we are in the universe. This sense of anxiety and insignificance is why I believe many people turn to religion, because in the end it is very comforting.
