Today's video was of a debate concerning whether or not evolution came from naturalism (Darwin's theory), or from historical science, otherwise known as the Bible. Bill Nye and Ken Ham debated. Bill Nye advocated for naturalism while Ken Ham advocated for historical science. I advocate for naturalism. Darwin's theory is scientifically proven and actually makes sense. The fact that humans are destined to undergo survival of the fittest is a concept that I have been taught for years now. On the other hand, I thought that Ham seemed intelligent but his theory is strange. While Adam and Eve are referenced as the human origins in the Bible, I do not totally believe in it. It seems hard to believe that there was a talking snake. More than that, that the snake spoke English. The fact that there is a human out there who believes that we originated from a story involving a talking snake is beyond me.
Overall, I thought Bill Nye destroyed Ken Ham in the debate that we watched today.
