Juan Pino wednesday reaction

So today in class we discussed the idea of infinity. When Shapiro was doing the whole visualization exercise I literally could not fathom infinity. No matter how much I tried my brain automatically created an end to whatever infinite universe I was trying to create. When I managed to visualize the universe and pure blackness my brain automatically created borders and thus a finite world where I saw a sphere that contained the blackness. It is really fascinating to see how our brain's do that to us; purposefully create boundaries to everything. I can see how it is frightening for us to know no limits and that is why we create these walls (be it religion, science, etc.). On the other hand, I feel as if it is a bit illogical to fear the unknown. Granted, you don't know whether something can be dangerous or not until experienced, but it is also illogical to fear something that has caused you no harm.
