debate video post

Today in class we watched a Creationism vs. Evolution debate. Me being very religious I do believe in Creationism. After watching the first part of the debate, I believe Ken Ham is a fool. He single handedly made Creationists seem like absolute fools. Granted, many pro-evolutionists already do believe that creationists such as my self are already fools, but I think that Ken Ham did a poor job discussing the matter. In my opinion, you cannot treat the bible like science like Ham did. Furthermore, I believe that the bible is not meant to be interpreted literally. I believe that because it was written thousands of years ago that the text has been lost in translation. For example, I disagree that the whole world was submerged underwater when the bible speaks of the flood. I believe that it could have been possible for the sea to rise and flood the land (whatever sea it may have been, such as dead sea or red sea). At the time people knew not the extent of the world, thus whatever they saw was the world to them. This leads me to believe that it is possible for people to have interpreted a drastic rise in the sea level as the whole world flooding.
