When we ended class today I don’t think everyone was on the
same page. Some people wish to know for certain if God exists and some didn’t understand
why people wouldn’t want to know. I see how it would distort our world and how
we view it. It’s hard to accept that something that makes sense is not true. I
think that’s the constant struggle because nothing ever makes complete sense;
or two opposing sides to one topic both make sense. Having a secure, without a
doubt, affirmation on something as impactful as if God exists is scary as hell.
However, even if it is scary I see how comforting it is. Nothing can ever be
completely satisfying because it is scary to have only one side (and highly
unlikely) but in addition to that with a change of perspective multiple sides
to everything usually always make sense. What are we supposed to do with all
the information we have and how can we avoid going crazy?
