Raoul's Friday Night Response

Honestly I found today's reading to be similar to last nights reading. Dostoyesvsky, in my opinion is still rambling about a not centered subject. I feel like he is dancing around with too many ideas and needs to start to explain himself. Never the less, today's discussion helped me with the analysis of the novel. I did not really notice that Dostoyesvky was a non-reliable narrator. I was just figuring that his points were set and then were broken in order to break common logic with more extract logic. In today's reading, I found that Dostoyesky introduced a few new concepts to his arguments. The two major ones that stood out to me were, man's need for confirmation of his own existence and the impracticality of science's attempt to predict future events. Over all the novel is starting to become more interesting and I believe that I'm beginning to understand where Dostoyesky is coming from. I use to think Dostoyesky was crazy (I even called his a psychopath in class today); however, I am starting to believe that he is a revolutionary thinker.
