Ciara's 2nd Reaction pages 15-30

As we moved into pages 15-30, I began to relate more to the narrator. I felt where he was coming from when he spoke about the journey v. the ending, and about how so much more pleasure can be derived from the process of achieving something than the actual feeling of the achievement itself.

I am slightly confused as to whether he believes what he is saying or not. He spends pages upon pages trying to convince the reader of one thing, and then at the end of his rant, proceeds to tell us that what he is saying might be a bunch of lies. The narrator offers no kind of reliability, so when I read what he has to say, I find it difficult to force myself to rationalize it because I know that it is probably some type of bullshit that he doesn't believe anyway....which is kind of an asshole thing to do because he wastes our time convincing us of aomethig he doesn't even need believe. But then there's the fact that he never intended on anyone reading it in the first place....
