Gabe's second Reaction

I am enjoying notes from the underground a lot more now that I am 30 pages in. I am now starting to understand how human psychology comes into play in this book. It is , as stated before , a dense read. However , I believe that the book is extremely insightful in such a brief amount of pages.  I really liked the way he described laziness and the fact that he would savor it if he was capable of being lazy. The book's tone is quite depressing but although this often may deter me from the book , I believe that it works really well considering the subject matter. Human psychology , when observed closely , is quite depressing after all. I am eager to find out what happens next in the book and I hope it becomes a bit more concrete. The ideas are interesting and insightful , along with the anecdotes , however I feel that If more plot elements were added it would be more enjoyable.
